Formula and method
Rent ratio = rent / income. Total housing ratio = (rent + management fee + utilities) / income. Under 25% is relatively healthy; 25–35% needs attention; 35% or more is high burden.
Example
Example: NT$50,000 income, NT$13,000 rent, and NT$2,000 other housing costs gives a 30% total ratio.
