Enter monthly kWh and price per kWh to compare long-term electricity cost across refrigerators.
Refrigerator electricity cost
Estimate monthly and yearly refrigerator cost from the monthly kWh shown on an energy label or bill.
Formula and method
Monthly cost = monthly kWh × price per kWh. Yearly cost = monthly cost × 12. If your label shows annual kWh, divide it by 12 first.
Example
Example: a refrigerator using 36 kWh/month at a price of 5/kWh costs about 180/month and 2,160/year in your chosen currency.

FAQ
What if my label shows yearly kWh?
Divide yearly kWh by 12 and enter the monthly estimate.
Can this be used outside Taiwan?
Yes. Use your local price per kWh and currency context.
Why not estimate from watts?
Refrigerator compressors cycle on and off, so label kWh is usually better than instant wattage.
Can I use this outside Taiwan?
Most calculations can be used anywhere by entering local values. If a tool mentions local rules or document specs, verify them with your local source.
